I received an e-mail today that encouraged that I watch this trailer and imagine what the series would have been like.In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem. If no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire, The A Team. Technorati Tags: a-team, star trek, trailer
I saw this video some time ago (or possibly the documentary) but thought I should share it again as it is one of the more heartwarming things I have ever seen. If you don't know anything about Christian the Lion, he was a lion originally purchased by Australians John Rendall and Anthony 'Ace' Bourke from Harrods department store of London in 1969 and ultimately reintroduced to the wild.Below is their first reunion after Christian had been in the wild for almost a year. Below is a brief documentary style video about this video which became popular on YouTube. I wanted to give you an idea of the size of the park where Christian the Lion was released.View Larger MapTechnorati Tags: christan the lion, heart warming, lion, famous
Hey, it glows, what more do you need to know? Apparently, these types of fish were only discovered recently. They don't really produce light but their skin converts incoming like into different bands of light. Yah, I don't understand it either but check out the article.Technorati Tags: fish, red, glow
Some days flying seems so unneccesary, doesn't it? Think of the amount of fuel burned in one day. Perhaps a return to steam ships would work?Technorati Tags: air traffic, simulation, global

Found this on Youtube and have been meaning to share it with you. I love it when dogs are fed odd things, don't you? For some reason, these videos make me a little sad for the 220 lbs puppy. Shouldn't his diet be controlled a bit more? Sure he doesn't mind now - but, yikes, what are you going to find on the front lawn (or your bedroom floor)?Technorati Tags: mastiff, hot dog, burrito, big dog, eating
I don't think much needs to be said about this.
Looks like Boba Fett needs to keep to that whole "bounty hunter" stuff.
It looks like warp drive is not just something that lives in the mind of science fiction buffs, but it could be realized. The unfortunate part is that, in order to make it happen, you'd need to convert Jupiter's mass into energy for one theoretical "jump".The warp engine is based on a design first proposed in1994 by Michael Alcubierre. The Alcubierre drive, as it's known, involves expanding the fabric of space behind a ship into a bubble and shrinking space-time in front of the ship. The ship would rest in between the expanding and shrinking space-time, essentially surfing down the side of the bubble. The tricky part is that the ship wouldn't actually move; space itself would move underneath the stationary spacecraft. A beam of light next to the ship would still zoom away, same as it always does, but a beam of light far from the ship would be left behind. That means that the ship would arrive at its destination faster than a beam of light traveling the same distance, but without violating Einstein's relativity, which says that it would take an infinite amount of energy to accelerate an object with mass to the speed of light, since the ship itself isn't actually moving. It is too bad I won't be around to enjoy a trip like that. Unless you know of any way to live a couple of thousand years? You can read the whole article here.Technorati Tags: warp drive, einstein, string theory
